Now that we are officially playing for nothing but pride against Texas, do we start McGee?
I say yes since it is his last game.
Just to clarify i was one pulling for him to be benched for Jerrod even before the year started, but now Jerrod has experience and going out there and getting trounced by Texas won't benefit him much.
Thought?

Agreed. Let McGee try to go out in a blaze of glory with a 3-1 record. If not, oh well, at least the season will be over.

Why do you hate McGee? The boy has had the crap knocked out of him for 2 years, and starting him in 2 weeks may permanently injure him unless somehow the entire o-line is transformed into a decent unit between now and then.

Throwing McGee behind that line gives him a better chance of getting injured if anything. You do know that he got injured this year right? Was that a fluke? Or a result of something?

Does McGee have a chance of getting a 5th year due to his injury?

I'm not anti-JJ, but I think starting McGee is a good idea. What do we have to lose? He's the first guy to beat them twice in a row in quite some time.

I am sure a few of the Texas DBs, LBs, and DLs would love to get a few hits in on McGee, knock him out of the game and start hitting JJ after he comes in.
My sister could start and do as much behind no O-line

I would like to see McGee start. He may give us our best shot at winning. However I don't want to see him get killed or embarrassed, and with the way the rest of the team is playing that is a possibility.

No, I do not want to see him play. This is JJ's team, so let JJ take the hit. No use getting McGee hurt and ruin his chance at a pro career. He's given A&M enough and does not need to get beat up in a meaningless game.
Yes, that's right. A meaningless game.

You guys are a joke and know nothing about football.
The backup is always the best on here.
If winning 1 game really would make everyone feel better here, then you can stick your head back in the sand.

I wouldn't feel totally better, but in a perfect world...
ITT loses to OU OU loses to OSU tu loses to A&M
How messed up would that be?
Seriously, though. Let McGee heal if he wants and play if he wants. I'd like to see the kid if he's healthy.
As for this being JJ's team, I hope between JJ, Dorman and RT we have at least 2 GOOD QBs because this line is going to have to get healthy and good by next year or we're toast then, too.

yes, u start mcgee and put jj back at receiver. Today was another example of what all the keyboard coaches have been hollering for at qb. Mcgee should have started last week, the week before, and when his arm was in a sling, hes still a better, smarter qb.

Since when did McGee become a viable NFL prospect? Has anyone looked at his passing stats while at A&M. If anything, Fran's system caused McGee's passing skills (which are paramount in the NFL) to regress. He'll be lucky to get drafted in the 6th or 7th round if at all.

Yes, start SM if he has recovered from injury and "healthy." It has nothing to do with a reward for old times sake or any such thing. And it has nothing to do with that worn out line that the backup QB is always the most popular(not always true by the way). If SM is ready to play give him a shot and leave him in as long as he is producing.
