Took a bunch of pictures at the game today. I was sitting behind the mesh on the first base line so most of the pictures are of the first baseman, pitcher, and home plate with mesh.

I figure some would like to see these.

Canon Rebel XTi with the stock 18-55 lens that came with it. They were all taken at full resolution and heavily cropped.

Great pics!

Any way to get a larger version of any of them (for PC wallpaper? 1280x1024 or larger)?

sure, these are all pretty cropped, any pic in particular that you are looking for? I can crop and resize to what ever you need.

well until I can afford a better lens, that's as good as they get. Bright sunny days are very forgiving for sports shots.

Wild, looks like you are in 105 or 106. if i ever get tickets, ill bring my camera out and you can use my lens for a few innings.

did they give you any trouble going in with the rebel?

yup I was in 106, and noone said anything to me about bringing the camera in. I didn't have it in a bag or anything. Why would someone have said anything about the camera? I normally sit with the students, but happened to score those 106 seats from a friend so I don't sit there often.

Wildmen,
several regular "pic posters" have run into issues with bringing professional cameras into Reed. the staff at Reed swears up and down that it is an NCAA policy, but yet no one else in Aggie Athletics has an issue. apparently you can't have a lens that is longer than 3". in my opinion, neither the 18-55mm or 55-200mm lenses are longer than 3", but i sneak the 55-200mm in anyway.

thanks for the info, I had no idea, some lady sitting in the student section had a telephoto lens that I saw. My camera is pretty new so I haven't brought it to many events, but I'll keep an eye out for problems.

blue is right, they wont allow cameras with detachable lenses at Reed anymore. I have a strong feeling this will carry over to baseball/softball soon.

that sentiment is shared by many. there will be a lot of upset parents if it carries over.

we just need to find a way for TexAgs to become a part of the media so we can all have press passes.
Of course they probably won't accept those since they only want official A&M photos that they can sell to the media.
