If the rumors are true and we have the "consultant". This consultant was used to hire some of these big names. Off the record they can express if they have any interest.
I like Urban Meyer as a coach.
And when he visited us when he coached Utah he had kind words to say about the atmosphere and school.

Ok say.......so let's answer this poor guy......
It would take maybe a 5 million per year offer from A&M (which we couldn't afford) for him to even look our way, plus he would all of a sudden decide to leave the media-darling SEC conference for a tarnished Big XII, televised Fla games practically every week on national TV, and a whole state full of people who worship the ground he walks on.......
.....to come to College Station and rebuild from the ashes of demoralized destruction and a disgruntled fan base with enormous expectations........
Sounds like something he'd be interested in?????????

The sad truth is, WE HAD A SHOT AT URBAN.
Of course we hire Fran and Urban goes from Bowling Green to Utah and you know the rest of the story.....
And for the record, when the Fran to A&M rumors started, I stated that A&M should go after Urban but most folks on here thought that what he did at Bowling Green was a fluke, and he wasn't enough of a "name" for A&M.......ahhhhh nice to look back on it now.

those of you laughing at this suggestion.....what harm does it do to put a feeler out there or make a phone call?
you never know whats going through someones head until you ask them. i cant stand this defeatist attitude some of you have regarding our program. if it was up to you, we'd make our first phone call Art Briles or Mike Sherman and then work our way down. pathetic.
