This pisses me off.
I liked Turge and thought he could elevate us to the next level in the VERY near future. Back to square 1 again.

They are bound, but could also be released if we choose to.

There's been 5 dozen threads about how much Branch loves it at A&M. Why is everyone so certain he'd walk?

They won't have a lot of options though.... most have filled this year's class...

I suppose schools that lost kids to the NBA unexpectedly would have extra ships available.

When rumors started several weeks back about other schools interested in Turge, someone asked Branch if he'd leave if Turge left. He tweeted that he would leave A&M.

I'm pretty sure Jordan was bound or he would have gone to Kentucky straight away.

I think a lot of kids would say that about the coach that recruited them.

Reality is though, it's May 9th... If you want to play this season, there is a limited # of schools that have a scholarship to offer you, and an even more limited # of schools that actually have what amounts to an open slot at PG basically waiting for you on Day 1.

I'd be surprised if he left.

It's also kind of a dick move to take recruits with you on the way out, unless your name is Calipari (or Turge)

I imagine Turgeon would tell Branch that he thinks he should stay at A&M, but ultimately to do what he thinks is best for him.

Lot of questions about a lot of things regarding Turgeon, but I think most agree on the upstanding way he handles things like that.

Oh I agree. I doubt he'll take a recruit with him, that was just an ironic Denzell Bowles reference.

Recruits are typically going to feel more loyalty to the coach and guys that recruited them than the specific school. That's understandable.

Its not like we fired Turge. He is abandoning us AND JAMAL. Don't blame us for Turge bolting.

I'd definitely lose some sleep tonight if I found out those two weren't going to be in maroon and white.

If Turge takes the Maryland job, he will do right by A&M. I suspect the new coach will be able to convince Branch and Jordan to stay.
