Because school is not in session and all non-student seats for this game are sold, any unclaimed student seats will go on sale to the public at 8 am Friday morning.

Students with the All Sports Option who have not signed up for a ticket will not necessarily be able to walk up on Saturday and gain admittance.

Sounds like there aren't all that many extra students making the drive back for this one. 1000's probably about the student attendance for the past few games.

I'd venture a guess that 1000 is considerably higher than the past several games.

1000 is less than 1/4 of the allottment. Safe to say that there will be tickets available tomorrow.

Yeah, plus a lot of students are probably counting on walkup, since they don't want to risk losing points if they end up not being able to make the drive. No guts, no glory!

So when the tickets are sold to the general public, where will they be sitting? Starting with the sections adjacent to already-public seating?

sad? how is this sad? LSU is god awful and school doesn't start for 9 more days after the game. And College Station isn't exactly a hot bed for excitement that you can talk your high school friends into coming to see.

Bob I don't care if it is over the break. There are like 10,000 freshmen so what about the other 35,000? I keep hearing be grateful for what you have because 5 years ago it sucked. SHUT UP ABOUT 5 YEARS AGO!!! Why not concentrate on what we have now and that is a top 10 team that can't even fill it's own student section. It's not like we are playing Rice, we are playing effing LSU!! A team that has beaten us two years in a row and I don't care if they are down, they are still LSU and that alone should make students show up.

Gillispie left because of poor support and Turge within a month is already complaining about it. How many great coaches must we lose before people start realizing this?

I hope the tickets that go on sale tomorrow dont last long (after I get mine), cause I want that place filled up!

Well, lets just do the math.

Reed Arena holds ~13,000.

There are around 5,000 seats allocated to students... 1,000 of those seats have been pulled by students.

The other EIGHT THOUSAND seats -- those reserved for non-students -- have been SOLD OUT for weeks.


So at this point we have 8,000 BCS residents and out-of-towners coming in for the game, and only 1,000 students making the trip back for the game.


Tell me again how that isn't sad? Tell me again about how the students deserve more/better seating?

Because we camp out and almost riot for Texas tickets

students need to care about all of the games, not just one.

we're not fair weather fans like the sips. we're aggies. we should support the team no matter who the competition is.

at least we got more student seating. we should show that we can fill that, too, after complaining for a season that there wasn't enough seating. it's so frustrating to see half of the student section empty before halftime even starts.

I've got no real issues about the students not packing the house for the late December games. Even though it is a Top 10 team, the holidays + creampuff opponents, I can at least see why students aren't making the trek back.

But a week after New Year's?

Hell, even if it was a DAY game I might understand that some of you aren't driving back until Saturday morning -- but a NIGHT game? Against an SEC school?

That is PISS POOR support and some of you "fans" should be ashamed.
