and where in the world is quachita baptist and how did they get on our schedule...Good lord

yeah, thats exactly what i thought when I saw it. they arent D-1 so it won't count against the RPI so it's basically a scrimmage in between these 2 games this week and what will hopefully be a trip to NYC.

I understand that the game is being moved to Big Monday and Vitale is coming to town!

Spurrier's gonna be our special guest as well if he gets done with his golf round at Traditions!!

OBU announces plans for Texas A&M game




ARKADELPHIA – The Ouachita Baptist University men’s basketball team gears up for the most exciting trip to date as the Tigers open the 2007-08 season in College Station, Texas to take on NCAA Division I preseason ranked No. 14 Texas A&M on Saturday, Nov. 17 in Reed Arena.



Last season Ouachita Baptist went 14-14, while the Aggies lost in the NCAA South Regional Semifinal 65-64 to Memphis.



“It’s a great opportunity for our kids to go down there and play in front of a lot of people,” Tigers head coach Charlie Schaef said. “It’s one of the best school’s in the Big 12 and in the country. For our guys, it will be something they talk about for years to come.”

TICKET INFORMATION

A section of tickets has been blocked off for Ouachita fans in the upper section of Reed Arena for $20 a piece. Fans can also purchase lower-level (mezzanine) seats not in the Ouachita section for $24 each while seats are available. There is also a discount section at the upper portion of the upper level for $10 each. There is no guarantee that it will be close to the Ouachita section.



For ticket information, contact the Texas A&M 12th Man Foundation Ticket Office at 888-99-AGGIE. Tell them that you would like to check on availability of tickets in the Ouachita section for the Nov. 17th game. If tickets are sold out in the OBU section, you might ask to be seated as close to the section as possible, but no guarantees can be made. Tickets can also be ordered on-line at www.aggieathletics.com, but there is no guarantee that the tickets will be with the Ouachita section.



Game time is subject to change, so visit www.aggieathletics.com closer to the game for start times.

I played in church league once. Those guys were the dirtiest, most foul mouthed players I have ever played aganist.

I played in a church league last year, and I can almost guaranty we could beat Ouchita...I'm not that great at all but we had:
1)Tony Romo
2)Terrence Newman
3)Patrick Crayton

No kidding... I played on a church league team when I was 16 and got mauled. We went undefeated for the season. Except replace "undefeated" with something that means "didn't win any games."

I have friends that went to Ouachita. You might as well call it Arkansas Lite. Every single one of them was a Razorback junkie.

That's nothing special--EVERYONE in this state is a Razorback fan. It's ridiculously boring compared to State of Texas college of football. There is nothing to balance the overwhelming Hog majority that dominates the airwaves. I am always hearing "Yeah, I'm a big Arkansas fan!" as if it were something extra-special. <sigh>
