but this was the worst officiated game I have seen in a long time. The announcers kept talking about how consistent it was, but the only way I would describe it is consistently bad. And then they were surprised at how low-scoring the game was (at least in the first half). That's what happens when the refs don't let the players play.
Almost all of the so-called charges should have been defensive fouls. We had questionable calls go our way too, which is why I say it was consistently bad.
That said, we had plenty of chances to win the game. I don't remember how many wide-open 3-point shots we missed in the last couple of possessions. We also had a stupid number of turnovers. On defense, we forgot how to block out, and occasionally left KSU's shooters wide open. And finally, the thing that lost us the game was our horrendous free-throw shooting.
