but this was the worst officiated game I have seen in a long time. The announcers kept talking about how consistent it was, but the only way I would describe it is consistently bad. And then they were surprised at how low-scoring the game was (at least in the first half). That's what happens when the refs don't let the players play.

Almost all of the so-called charges should have been defensive fouls. We had questionable calls go our way too, which is why I say it was consistently bad.

That said, we had plenty of chances to win the game. I don't remember how many wide-open 3-point shots we missed in the last couple of possessions. We also had a stupid number of turnovers. On defense, we forgot how to block out, and occasionally left KSU's shooters wide open. And finally, the thing that lost us the game was our horrendous free-throw shooting.

That was about the most frustrating game I have watched this season.

STFU dude, free throws aren't an indicator of officiating bias. We pound the ball down low a lot and Kstate plays very tenacious D. WTF do you expect. They're going to get called A LOT.

How long have you been watching Big XII basketball? You should know by now how awful a ref John Higgins is. Worse than Ed Hightower even.

Seriously we shot 3 times as many free throws as them. If anything KSU fans should be pissed.

Refs were consistently bad, yes, but one team adjusted to them and the other one didn't. They were calling ticky-tack charges all game and it took until the last 4 or 5 minutes for your players to figure out not to float in the lane.

Yep, if we had hit even half of our freethrows we would have won. The officiating wasn't great but it wasn't as one-sided as the ou game. We got screwed at ou!

Making the free throw argument shows just how ignorant you are about basketball. We had 7 offensive fouls that didn't result in free throws. The one on Davis was a good call, all the others were very questionable. And no, I don't think a block was called all game.

true the refs cost us the game. They don't call fouls on KSU and send us to the line to shoot free throws, the game ends up totally different.

We were going berserk at Reed over the refs. It was a horribly officiated game. Out of bounds called wrong, garbage fouls on both teams. It looked as if the fix was in.

That said, A&M didn't make the shots (or free throws) needed to win; and those two threes in the last minute by K-State were as cold blooded as I've ever seen.

I would like you to point out where I said the refs screwed the ags. Complaining about bad officiating is not the same thing as making excuses for a loss.

kougar, your an idiot plain and simple. When KSU takes nothing but jumpshots they wont get fouled on the shot as often leading to almost no freethrows.

Amazing how that skews the FT stats and blows your argument clear out of the water aint it junior.

BTW, the only official that I think was truly out for a KSU win was the tall guy, he called no less then four charges against A&M with the KSU guy jumping into the contact and of course the infamous out of bounds call at the end of the game.

The other two guys just sucked.

And no the officials did not cause any outcome, bad shooting from the field and from the line did. Not to mention the turnovers.
