As I said before the season:
Texas continues to be the class of the Big 12.
OU was ripe for more downturn. A&M would recover from the bad luck from last year (injuries, etc.). Baylor would continue improving. Okie State would suck (other than beating up on OOC opponents).
A&M will probably have some trouble in the upcoming weeks, as the schedule gets harder, but they played very well against a solid Missouri squad. The Mizzou DL was clearly outmatched. Good game, Ags.
What I didn't expect or predict:
That OU's D would be the cause of their decline, and that their OL and Paul Thompson would play so well. I had it going the other way around. I certainly didn't expect them to lose A.P. so early. I do continue to expect their OL play to decline as the season wears on -- they're really thin.
That Texas Tech (who boasted that they'd win the conference this year) would do so poorly. They faced a desperate CU squad, hungry for a win -- they lost to #9 Georgia 13-14, remember. TT plays poorly on the road (well, usually), and plays well at home. Hopefully they don't surprise my Horns.
