i know, seems like an odd place to go on vacation, but my wife and i are heading there next month for a week.

we know of a few things we want to do (NFL HoF, rock n' roll HoF, Cedar Point in sandusky, A Christmas Story House).

anyone got any other suggestions?

Born in Cleveland, going there next weekend to see family. When I do go usually it is nostalgic things we do, but your list is pretty good. Love Cedar Point. I would try to catch an Indians game if you can, especially now that they are killing it. The zoo is pretty good from what I remember, they have a rainforest thing. The West Side Market is awesome if you are in to food. The Science Center (next to Rock and Roll HOF) is good especially for kids.

West Side market is definitely on our list

Second the Indians game suggestion. Jacobs Field (or whatever its called now) is a fantastic venue for baseball. Sit low on the first base side for good views.

Michael Simon has some great eating places in Cleaveland. Also not far from Amish country.

Cedar Point is a blast. I went there a few years ago in early June, which is a great time to go. The weather was great, and kids were still in school at the time, so the park was not as crowded. My wife and I went on most of the rides in one day, even the Millennium Force and Top Thrill Dragster, which generally have the longest lines to wait in. I would recommend staying at a hotel inside the park, such as Hotel Breakers, because you can get into the park one hour before it opens to the general public and go on selected rides.

You could also visit Put In Bay (on a small island near Sandusky). Catch the ferry from Sandusky and spend the day there.
