Are you looking to enjoy the bustle of city life or something more relaxing? Prince Edward Island is supposed to be nice (I went as a kid, don't remember much anymore), as is Victoria/Vancouver Island out west. Toronto is a huge city, quite vibrant. Montreal is fun, has a reputation as a place people from Vegas go when they want to party. Nearly everyone speaks english, language barriers are not an issue. Vancouver is really picturesque. Quebec City is very old world europe in character.

Vancouver is fabulous! Very nice city with lots of good restaurant and bar choices. Easy to walk the downtown area, and easy to get to Stanley Park, Granville Island, etc. Probably my favorite city in North America (ex. Vegas).

My wife says that Montreal is the closest you will get to Europe without going to Europe. Supposedly Quebec City is also like that.

Not sure what you are after, I have been to Canada a number of times, other than the speed limits sucking it seems like the US, only cleaner and friendlier.

Go visit one of the maritime provinces (east coast) during the summer. You will not be disappointed. Quite stunningly beautiful.

If you want incredible nature scenery, fly to Calgary, and make the 80-mile drive to Banff National Park. The scenery is stunning.

I'm not big on Vancouver. We spent time in Vancouver, Victoria, Whistler and Seattle on our honeymoon. Vancouver was my least favorite. I could have spent a lot longer in Victoria though.

Banff is next on my list though....

Definately Quebec City. It is vastly different than what you are used to and that is why you go on vacation! If not, just stay home!

QC, most speak English well enough for you to get by (native tongue is French). French culture is everywhere and you will definately appreciate that on your daily walks and stops into a cafe for wine and cheese.

Lots to see and lots to do.
