Honeymooning in two weeks in St. Lucia and staying at Sandals Grande then moving over to Jade Mountain. Anyone have any last minute tips/advice? Excursions we HAVE to go on?

Im heading there at the end of may. we are actually staying at the sandals regency but its all the same. I'd love to hear a post trip report

The ziplining is awesome. Since you are at the Grande, you can go to Pigeon Point easily. The catamaran day sail wasn't bad and the lunch I had ata local restaurant during this was my favorite meal of my trip.

Stayed at Grande but visited other Sandals resorts to check out restaurants and facilities.

IMO Grande > Regency unless you are golfing.

Loved it. Booked concierge room with the swim up lagoon pool. Awesome.

We enjoyed the catamaran excursion but spent most of our time just hanging out in the room (honeymoon), drinking in the pool or drinking on the beach.

Sounds like we will have to go zip-lining. We have a guided boat tour when we stay at Jade so we were just thinking of something on the island to do when we are at the Sandals. Which was the best restaurant/bar at the Grande?

Best restaurant was Toscanini's but to be fair, we didn't get to try Gordon's. We did the London pub a couple of times just because it was less crowded and quick. (We were at the resort for 10 days.)

The other Sandal's resorts have good restaurants also so be sure and check them out. La Toc restaurant and Kimono's were both good. Kimono's was a hibachi style restaurant so it was fun and different. Just ask your agent for recommendations and to help you with reservations. Some of these are reservation only IIRC.

07&09Ag: The trip was amazing although the only downfall was the drive from and to the airport. It took over an hour and a half on the bus to get to North of the island at the Sandals Grande and then our ride from Sandals to Jade Mountain was about an hour. The roads are very windy but you get a great view of the island.

We did not do any excursions while at Sandals because our second resort was closer to them and we wanted to avoid the drive twice.

Snorkeling was okay but you get to snorkel between the two famous pitons. We saw a waterfall and just relaxed the rest of the trip.

You will have a wonderful time.

I have heard that the airport transfer takes a while but we are definitely looking forward to it. We head out Monday morning and come back Sat night. I think we are going to go zip-lining and then my fiance wants to go into the shops but right now thats all we have planned. If anyone has any other must-do's i'd love to hear them
