Well, this is probably gonna be a long one. Our honeymoon consisted of the five countries (with a day in Boston on the way there, and technically a day in London, which may or may not be posted in here). We began by flying to Sarajevo. We had two nights there and were actually really impressed by it. Everyone was nice and they did a great job restoring the downtown area to look more like the old Turkish markets.
We figured if we would have a beer at Cheers, it would have been in our Boston part of the trip....but no, it was in Bosnia
We did not quite know why this was in our room, but since it was our honeymoon, it may have been needed

They had a lot of cafes and bars that have tables outside.
We spent two days in Sarajevo, and then we headed off to Mostar, Bosnia. We did not really run into any American tourists in Sarajevo, which is a nice change from normal places. Mostar, which was closer to Croatia, had quite a bit more tourists. It is more or less famous for their bridge over the river. We stayed at a museum/house that was decorated in traditional Bosnian decorations...
After Mostar, we headed to Croatia. Bus took about 4 hours, much of it was along the coast which was really pretty. We had 3 nights in Croatia in the old town, we had booked an apartment there that was 50m or so from their so called beach. Much of the beaches there were pebbles/rocks, so not much sand. We liked Dubrovnik, but it was overrun with cruise ships and tourists. Prices reflected this as well. Later, we went on a boat to an island near Dubrovnik for more beaches.
After Dubrovnik, we headed down to Budva, Montenegro. I had booked a beachfront hotel, but the hotel screwed up our reservation, so they upgraded us to their more luxury resort. I did not complain...we had 4 nights there with a Spa and nicer pools/beaches. There were a lot of Russians there though, but I knew that would happen. Nightlife there was interesting to say the least, most bars had women wearing minimal things dancing to try to get people to go in.....it worked on us at three bars....
Our room included a window from the bathroom to the bedroom....
Women dancing at the bar....
We ended up renting a car in Montenegro to try to drive to Kosovo. It ended up failing due to the lack of good roads, so we tried to see the sites of Montenegro instead. We first went to a town called Kotor, which is sort of a fjord town but not technically a fjord. The cathedral in the hill is called Ostrag. It was a pain to get up to as buses and trucks were going up and down a one lane road on a cliff on a tall mountain. Fun to drive, but not too much fun for my wife....
Tour buses coming down roads they should not be on.....
