Be in Gulf Shores ares for a week this summer. Any first hand experience regarding restaurants/things to do or see?

I went last summer and stayed at Kiva Dunes. It was great. Great golf course there. Top rated in Bama. Jimmy Buffet's sister has a restaurant there that is pretty fun.
What's the water like at Gulf Shores? Is it blue or more similar to Galveston?
The water is better than Galveston, but not as nice as Destin.

Went last year>>> Water is a lot like Destin, went to balloon festival in Foley.

Flor-bama lounge if it is still around. Been over 15 years since I have been there but liked it and the Pink Pony Pub.
Go to Pensacola Beach if you want a nice beach
Much closer than Destin, plus you can check out the Naval Aviation museum
