The wife and I will be staying in Oklahoma City in June. Any recommendations for a hotel in the area? Thanks in advance.

Try priceline or hotwire and search for the highest star rating near downtown (I say downtown since I assume that is the best area in OKC for tourist).

I woudlnt bet on that, I would assume that there is no good area for a tourist in OKC.

But I could be mistaken

Look at the Bricktown area, lots to do all within walking distance. Hotels there: Marriott courtyard, Renaisance, Hilton Skrivin Hampton Inn.

Skrivin is a historic hotel that has been remodeled.
I would recomend a vist to the OKC Bombing Memorial and museum, also Cowboy Hall of Fame.

If you are looking for a boutique hotel experience, you might look into the Colcord(colcordhotel.com).

I'm from OK and Bricktown area is the place to stay. Also, the OKC Bombing Memorial is worth the visit.

I live in OKC.. Bricktown (downtown) is probably the best place to stay. The Skirvin and Colcord are really nice. There's a few more chains down there. Is there something specific that you want to do in OKC? Bricktown is the touristy part of town and has lots to do. Midtown/Nichols Hills has a lot of really great local restraunts and bars.

i live here also and my wife works for the chamber so she's more in the know of places to stay and go to, but i'd say if you want nice try the skirvin or the colcord. there is a hampton inn that overlooks Bricktown Ballpark and is near everything in Bricktown
