Contemplating visiting and wondering what there is to do.. besides antiquing.

Enchanted Rock, Nimitz Museum, Good restaurants, LBJ's Ranch/Pedernales Falls State Park, LBJ's Birthplace in Johnson City, etc.

Lots of good wineries.

Becker is the best winery.

Lots of great biking. Stop in the bike shop there & they'll tell you of the popular routes.

Wine, wine and more wine. I love Fredericksburg.

It's nice to just walk around the shops downtown too.

German food and beer gardens.

windery, shopping, the wildflower seed farm.

Tons of wineries, a lot of fine dining, Folk Festival, Enchanted Rock, B&B's everywhere, shopping, nature trails, a whole lot of live music at places like Hondo's and the Auslander. There is a great B&B a little outside of town in the country called Rooster Springs Gastehaus that we typically stay at. Really fun time.

Been there several times. A great place to take the wife for an anniversary or something.

A great German restaurant (not Auslander) where an old couple play live German music and you sit outside. Really a cool place. Wildflower farm and the Herb garderns are cool places to go as well.

Also, Luckenbach is right up the road.

Last time I was there (several years ago), La Patrona and I went dancing at the Silver Star, a real old-school honky tonk. It was teh awesome.

I grew up right next to Fredericksburg in Spotsylvania County, Va.

Lots of American Revolution and Civil War History.

PEACHES! how has no one mentioned the peaches!?

The have a very cool, old west (boothill) looking cematary on the edge of town.
I know, not the usual tourist type thing, but it's pretty cool.
