I don't think it will be McHale, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was a relative unknown.


In listening to a local Memphis show, they interviewed assistant Dave Joerger, and they asked him about the Rockets job and if he had had discussions with Morey, and Joerger refused to answer the question.

The list of candidates is pathetic.

But he was on Cheers...TWICE!

I think its funny that the Rockets haven't interviewed anybody yet and you already have McHale as the next coach. Good job there.

The list of coaches that Morey is purportedly talking to is over 10+ guys. Per Morey, the things that have been reported are not factual. He went on to say that some of the names are true, but are some are not even on the Rockets radar. This was something he said on 1560 the game.

Also, Adelman wanted to leave as well.

On a side note, I kind of would like to see it be an assistant coach and not a former head coach. This will likely sound crazy, but the name that sticks out to me is Sam Cassell. He is very early in his coaching career, but I just think he will turn out to be a very good coach some day.

Just kidding.... I have no clue about his coaching ability. He was fun to watch play though.

Cassell worries me simply because I've watched a lot of that Wizards team and they are a collection of really dumb players that haven't seemed to improve at all this season. Doesn't speak well of a team that Cassell is one of the lead assistants of that motley crew.
