If someone who can see it will kindly upload it to imageshack or some such other program, that would be fantastic.
Thanks

are the ones bolded based on Actual, conference rank or national rank? I am assuming actual.

Yeah actual... for the most part its all the same...
Remember that the shortened clock restarts helped our defense and hurt our offense quite a bit when comparing to the seasons before where the clock rules were different.

I'd say the clock rules made about 10% difference on both sides of the ball for raw numbers, but it wouldn't really affect rankings relative to other teams..after all, we all used the same rules.

If you look at the 05 - 06 passing numbers compared to the Conference Rankings you can see where the Conference itself has become much more of a passing conference ...
A&M's passing dropped only slightly in one year and we fell what 4 rankings? Our rushing actually went down 30 yards and we stayed at #2, and did better nationally?

LOL, strength of schedule is noticeably absent. Franny kicks the crap out of 4 cupcakes and we have progress! Yippee!!

Sammy, if it was just conference statistics, it would probably be even more noticeable progress actually...
Have you looked at the numbers?

MouthBQ98

Yep, we got our drubbings in 03 and 05 in conference play...that would make the improvement much more dramatic from 03 to 06 using the raw data.

First off, well done with the statistics, second looks like we've made improvements all across board except passing offense.

the defense is what shocked me.
over the past few years other teams have gotten more potient on offense and yet this year A&Ms "bend and not break" defense has gotten much much better statistically.

Redzone offense tells much (or maybe everything?) about this team's lack of a more successful season

Sunshine pumpers lets rise! Good bull, we are improving. 9-4 is very solid no matter what schedule you have, and our schedule was a lot harder than the cupcake conferences. Big 12 is tough. As long as we improve this year in 2007, I am more than happy. We cannot have a 2005 regression. I believe Fran is doing a decent job with the program, we all know he can recruit. Lets support the coaches and the team no matter what the results are. And this year we definitely had something to be proud of.

awesome stat sheet strongbadag....thanks for taking the time to put it together
I agree that the conference only games are even more in our faver as I have actually looked at the stats also....
a bunch of these goobers might be surprised to know that we had the 2nd ranked defense - Total Defense when only looking at conference games....and we played one of the toughest schedules...all the south plus the top 2 North teams

Progress was achieved, but lets be honest. He has got to make it all come together in 2007. He desperately needs to find a way to inspire his players to beat the big boys of the Big 12 (regardless of the schedule) and then hopefully get to a bowl game and win it.
