Shamelessly self promoting - i predicted this 8 days ago (12/4)!!!!
Ok I won't say I know this for sure, but I am speculating a bit that Todd Dodge will end up being named the replacement for Dickey at UNT (University of North Texas).
For those of you who may be unaware, Dodge the former tu QB is the head coach at Southlake Carroll high school that has won soemthing crazy like 42 of their last 43 games or something like that and several state titles, in fact I think their only loss the last 4 seasons was a state final game. They are a top ranked high school regularly and actually #1 in the nation the last 2 years - considered that anyway. Currently his son is the QB and is a junior. He coached Chase Daniel who is now at Mizzou among others.
I think he would be a good fit there and they would like his system which would be popular for fans and possible recruits from the area. He also was an assistant there at one time. He has in previous years denied an interest in stepping back up to college, but this year his tune has changed and he has indicated he would be interested even if it meant missing his sons SR year at Southlake (see link)

I really believe this would also be smart on UNTs part - like a Danny Manning 2 for 1 deal. After Danny's junior year Kansas hired his dad as an assistant coach and Danny moved to Lawrence and finished high school there and of course went there and won a national title for them. I think landing Dodge would mean you would most likely get his son not to mention other possible SLC recruits if you wanted them. I'm not saying it would make UNT a powerhouse or anything but it would be a step up for them possibly and help in name recognition and recruiting. Believe me Dodge's name is well known throughout the state now because of his SLC history and high school kids know who he is and would love to play for him. It could be a really good move on their part.
I think it has not happened yet because SLC is still playing fo a few more weeks of course, but UNT currently seems in no hurry. Watch that change right after SLC finishes their season.
I expect it to happen. Anyone agree?
