Big update today. Took some from all around the field. BTW, after being relatively close to the maroon on the 3rd deck, it looks like it is a banner, not metal but a tarp like material. And, the stars that are on it, yes they are stars, are sorta beveled. So, there's some to ***** about .

the black thing under the scoreboard looks to be a light or speaker, but wonder what the other is.

didn't realize the "dots" on the panels put up in maroon were stars...that's sharp.

that pic heading under the stands is exactly what I was talking about yesterday.

Oh and it looks like TEXAS AGGIES is out this year in favor of TEXAS A&M. Did you see any paint marks on the center of the field?

Great pics! Thanks for posting those.

Be prepared for people to start *****ing, though. You can see the outline for the end zone lettering and it is going to see "Texas A&M" and not "Texas Aggies" like we badgered Byrne into bringing back a few years ago.

2nd to last picture: Are those the fill speakers on the bottom of the scoreboard? If so how big would you say those were?

8th to last picture: Is that a picture of how the material was bolted onto the facade?

Pictures look great...can't wait for next Saturday!

One minor question: Why would they go back to Texas A&M after all the b1tching people did to get Texas Aggies in the endzones?

I personally prefer Texas Aggies but as long as we're in the endzones multiple times per game, they can paint whatever they want there.

Those look like the mounting brackets holding the ribbon boards. The picture appears to be from first deck looking up at the second deck.

No, the speakers under the scoreboard are labeled "bottom fill speakers" on the construction plan. Im not entirely sure of their purpose, but they are not much larger than my own home speakers, about 3-3.5" wide, with the rest of the rectangle 1" each side.

I can't believe they are updating our stadium and other facilities!

This is an outrage and stands against all that is Texas A&M and its traditions! We should schedule home games on the same weed and rock littered field the Junction Boys practiced.

Damn you Bill Byrne for making things nicer at A&M.
