As good as we are playing, I think some of you are trying to sandbag us with CU. This is a team that went into Miami and hung with them for 3 quarters. CU can run the ball and their special teams are pretty dang good. Obviously, I'm expecting us to win but visions of a 28 point victory are a bit ridiculous.
lol, after every game, I have been asking myself that same question...
after this blowout loss, I have my answer, you should too....
here it is...
no, clemson is not as good as we made them look no, smu is not as good as we mad them look no, SWT is not as good as we mad them look no, BU is not as good as we mad them look no, CU is not as good as we mad them look
well, I guess we're just down and out then. Even as the 12th man, we have no fight left in us... and we're even willing to concede that tu will steamroll anybody.
Every time we play Colorado, it seems like Texas gets them the very next week. This year is no different. In our case, Colorado usually beats us or plays its *** off against us, but tu just owns them (with the exception being the Horns' loss in the Big 12 title game that year).
Aggie88, so if we played them the week after tu, would the result be different? Let me answer that one for you. No. Sips should roll Colorado. We could get lucky if they have a post-ou letdown.
CU - 3 vs. A & M KA-CHING !!!! Sips - 14 vs. OU KA-CHING !!!!
The sips -19 seems like a tough one to me...........I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I think the sips might have a "post-OU" letdown for a quarter or two. I'll admit that I don't have the stones to take the Buffs +19 points, but my initial reaction was to take the points for a late cover.
I for one hope TU wins the whole freaking thing. That may be the only thing that will send the money guys into a frenzy and not accept the mediocrity that is our football program. Them winning would piss off those who can make change. I am ready for a change now. One way to speed up the process is have them look that much better. Like it or not they are the program by which we judge ourselves. I don't think many will be able to handle the vast void of disparity between the two.
This will be the first game of the season that can be used for comparitive purposes as it will be the first where we both have played the same team. That said, I am pretty sure Texas will win the game and show just how far we have to go to become competitive again.
