That looks awful. Especially with the campaign that Mizzou has been running

I dunno, looks okay to me. Nothing crazy but then again Mizzou has a crisp black color scheme. Can only do so much with maroon.

This. My ten year old could have designed that billboard....

My question is, was this one of many designs or was it the only one to be submitted at the last minute of a deadline?

LOL...this place is a hoot...cat 5 hurricanes in cups of water on a daily basis!!

Having black and gold really does make it easier

Both billboards have the school logo and SEC logo, but MU has web site and phone # as well. (nice touch having toll free number)

Biggest difference is A&M using block, and MU using slanted letters Type style can change the visual impact, and it is simple to implement.

doesn't need to be complicated at all... just professional looking... it looks like a 5th graders work compared to mizzou's

I hate to break it to you, but there is nothing UNprofessional about it...it may not be "flashy" but hardly UNprofessional.

UNprofessional would have been

COMING SOON: 1 Jul Ags GTFO of the Steer 10 or something like that with a sawed off logo to boot!

I know the Zoo overreacts often over the dumbest things, but that design is a joke... I'm not kidding, that looks like somebody forgot about the deadline and did it 5 minutes before having to show their boss something.

It wouldn't be that hard to come up with something a little creative....

Does that billboard honestly get you excited? Does it conjure feelings of anticipation and passion that the SEC is known for? That is a poor excuse for a billboard, especially after seeing what Mizzou came up with.

What a joke...

No bevel!!!!

Some things that could have been done

a) different typeface

b) 1-800-SEC-TAMU phone number

c) catchphrase like
"we have our dog"
"we bring a dog to the fight"
"first in texas"

totally out of the box would have been just the date, like they did when they did the early promo for the movie independence day.

Per Jason Cook, this is not what we are going to do with all the other bilboards coming after July 1st. We just put up this bilboard because we had to take down our Women's National Championship Bilboard on 6 once Baylor won it this year.

I like simple and to the point....whadda ya want, clowns with little poodles jumping through hoops and fireworks over The Chicken?

From a design standpoint, this is out of balance.
Each logo should be on the ends with the wording in the center. It is boring, either way.

Serious question. Do we have a marketing program in the business school? Old army made flashier bumper stickers for the secede push than this garbage. So much for improving our brand.

Totally agree with this. We have dozens of posters who could come up with something better in 20 minutes and would do it for free.

We are paying people to come up with this crap.

Design is crap...but sadly its par for the course for our terrible, terrible marketing department.

Mizzou is on of the best journalism schools in the nation. No surprise they are great at advertising creative and copy.
