Perry want's tu. and A&M to go together, wherever they go. t.u. wants to listen to big 10, A&M comfortable with the leverage they have. A&M listening to all options.

Other conferences are leery about giving offers to other schools until they know they get t.u. and A&M. Could be a while, because t.u. and A&M likely to take sweetass time.

Sounds like A&M and Texas are being courted by Big 10, SEC, and Pac 10.

Tech and Baylor have to wait and see what happens to us before they know what their doing.

Which I do not mind as long as we are looking out for ourselves and not letting them dictate everything (I think we are or the Pac10 would have been a done deal by now).

And Rick needs get it through his great hair that A&M and tu are always going to be together but we do not have to be in the same damn athletic conference. We are 90 miles apart it is not like one us is moving to California and the other one to Florida. In fact, being in separate conference may benefit both schools the most in the end.

Pretty much. Sounds like the sips and us are in no hurry either. We seem to be cooperating pretty well with the sips, and we both seem to be comfortable with our mutual power in this deal.

The SEC is the best option football wise. Academically it's like being the king of the nit-wtis. The Big 10 has much more to offer in terms of research funding, and given vision 2020 looks to be the best decision. I'd love to see us play some SEC teams, but increasing the worth of a degree from TAMU is much more worth it.

sorry, Bilbo,and I know I'm old school, but A&M and tu should be playing each other annually in the same conference as long as football is played.

They can still play eachother annually. In fact, it would really benefit both schools (see miami, florida state, florida) to be able to both contend and win conf championships and BCS games.

Whereas now, both would never get that opportunity if they were in the same conf.

I will be good either way, but icing on the cake would be to leave tech and baylor behind.
