Alright, so I fully submit that this is really out there, and some will downright hate it. But this was an idea my buddies and I came up with today and, being the offseason, I thought it might generate some discussion.

I know we're Adidas, bla bla bla, but while discussing college football uniforms, we thought about what an A&M pro combat uniform might look like. The concept here is somewhat of a take off of TCU's but instead of the reptilian skin pattern on the helmet/pants, it's a sublimated camo pattern. Obviously there are some sensitivities here, since the only other college football team to do something like this is Army. However you see sports teams do this all of the time for Memorial Day, military appreciation, etc. And if any non-academy could get away with it, it would be A&M.

So here it is. Thoughts?

Definitely out there. I don't think it would go with the helmet and pants in grey, but I would be curious to see what the camo effect would look like in maroon.

I tried it in maroon, and honestly it was terrible. The problem is that when you start messing with the maroon tone you end up getting shades of purple, pink, red, etc. Not pretty.

Meh, I think it looks pretty good.

maybe if the ATM logo was in maroon, it might look a little better

The pants throw me off but the helmet looks good.

Honestly, I had the exact same response. I photoshopped it fully expecting it to look atrocious. And once I finished I looked at it and thought, "hey, that's actually not half bad."

after reading, i was getting ready to slam you. I dont hate it though... i think the helmet could use some adjustments but other than that it looks pretty sweet--- as long as it is a one-time thing

Make it all camo... jersey and pants with a white helmet, white facemask, and maroon logo.

use a desert camo scheme and you may be on to something...

I wouldn't mind seeing a jersey that's a tribute to the Corps. Just use the maroon jersey, and replace the white lettering with Corps khaki.

What about a "stormtrooper" version? Snow camo helmet and pants, and maybe even #s on the jersey?

Just thinking outside the box.

I think it's kinda cool. It's a little different, but it's cool. It looks better with the white logo, and the pants are actually what make it. Since they have already worn grey pants it's not far off, but let's give it a shot.

Needs a maroon facemask.

Looks legit. Obviously the hard core traditionalists are going to hate it, but its 2010 and teams throughout sports are doing this for special events. I think it would be great to do for a military appreciation day, or something of that nature. I'm a big fan of alternative uni's... well honestly not a big fan of the all white and white helmet uni combination we went with last year.. I'd take camo over the snow man look any day.

Hey, this could be an excuse for me to bust out my black/gray camo pants that I never get to wear.
