A lot is said about Mr. Byrne both good and bad. But he is a good man and I am glad that he is running our athletic department.

Gotta little story for you Ags!

We live in Austin and my 8 year old son is getting razzed big time by the sip kids in his class. I don't know the details and he may be bringing some of it on himself.

But I thought I would try and do something nice for him to encourage him to keep his resolve during these tough times.

I emailed Mr. Byrne and asked how to go about getting an autographed picture of Reggie (my son's favorite player) sent to him.

Charley North from the football operations office called me this morning to say that they were sending my son an autographed Aggie Football helmet!

I was and am speechless. Over and over Mr. North said to hang in there that things would get better.

Anyway we hear a lot of bad things about Mr. Byrne and others in the Athletic Department and I wanted to share a good story.

The one thing that keeps me a little grounded in these tough times is my belief that Mr. Bynes will do what is right for Aggie football--at the right time--whatever that is.

My daughter's soccer team is going to be in the jr. tourney Bill mentioned yesterday on his WW. I emailed him yesterday and invited him and some of the Aggie soccer players to watch them play. I received an email today that they accepted the invitation.

Good story 85! My 9 year old also complains sometimes about harrassment. I simply tell him to ignore it and that some day, most of those kids will be performing trivial, service-oriented tasks for him like garbage collection, road-work, etc...
