Huslin 1, Class of 77, First of the Second Century .

I was in the last Engineering 101 class where slide rule was taught. HP35 was $395. HP$45 was $495!

Oh, and Deaux Chene was brand new and quite nice.

Heck, I lived in Dunn hall it's 2nd semester of operation. It opened spring of '73 and was coed. Top two floors women, bottom two men. That's right, it was 1973 and the women were on top.

According to tradition, Dunn Hall was never coed. It was Aston. Hence the Dunn Hall eponym and rocket "TOM DOSS" - The Only Men's Dorm On South Side

Nope. Aston didn't open until fall of '75. Dunn had been open 5 semesters. We used to play football where Aston is. In my day Aston was for pretty boys. I hear that was the case through the class of '94.

I lived in Deaux Chen and Briarwood in my 5 years there (ending in '00).

It was CHEAP!

I was in 7th grade. that has a 7 in it.

My dad was class of 77. Company B-2 for 4 years. Then finished in a few more while living behind Chicken Oil in Bryan.

I wish I had a pic of the baby-sh*t yellow Maverick I used to burn up the roads from Tomball to Plantersville and on to CS - 1977 - it was the best of times, it was the wor..., no, it was all pretty good times!!!
Who remembers the Hues Corporation and Trapeze rocking CS?
