Did anyone see exactly what happened after the game when the Nebraska fans ran onto the field? I heard a Corps guy took a cheap shot in the back of a NU fans' head. Is this true?

it wasn't a cheap shot. from my angle, it looked like the corps dude sorta held the guy from running further on the field, and when the dude kept going, he got the F*** knocked outta him. To me, the n.u. fan is at fault

The Neb. fans stormed the field and were repeatedly told by the OD's and yell leaders to get off. The Neb. fan continued pushing his way on the field and got punched in the face. It was not a vicious blow, but it got the point across.

NU is known around the country for having some of the classies fans around. Until tonight NU (and pretty much the rest of the country) felt the same way about A&M.

However, with the demise of our football team and the total loss of respect that our team gets, the same will now be true of our "fans". We will be known a the sore losers who result to punching other fans.

Way to go, guys. Good bull.

Tell me, what else was the Corps guy supposed to do? Most college football fans know that Kyle is a memorial. Every fan who sets foot on Kyle should meet the same fate or worse.

The corp is and has been out of control for a long time now. Way to make our University look bad again guys.

It makes no difference if they were told to get off the field. It's not like the guy was protecting women and children. Anyone who thinks Kyle Field is some holy grale that must be protected at all costs is an absolute moron. I don't like seeing opposing fans running on our field either, but nobody deserves to get punched in the face for going on the field. It makes us look like bunch of sore losers. Maybe if the team would produce we wouldn't have to worry about people running all over the field. Until then we should learn to lose with class and not act like a bunch of high school morons. The Corps always talks about representing the University as Keepers of the Spirit....well I don't think they did such a good job of it tonight. If this guy isn't removed from the Corps something is seriously wrong with that organization.

I'm not an Aggie fan nor do I follow the Aggie tradition. But this is in all seriousness, how big of a tradition is the Corps? I mean, is this something you should or should not expect? Just curious..

That's what everyone I talked to saw. (Excuse me for saying I saw it earlier RAMF....my mistake) Anyway...EVERYONE I talked to saw a cheap shot from behind. Maybe that's big and manly to you but I think that's what pus$ies do.

Ever been out of College Station? I know hundreds...perhaps thousands of college football fans across this country, and almost NONE know anything of the sort. Virtually NONE.

The point is...so what? I realize I'm just very frustrated tonight, but these posts are ridiculous. What is it we want around here? For every college football fan in the country to stand in awed reverance of our grass? Or to be a successful and proud athletic program? It doesnt seem to me we've been able to figure out how to do both, and I'm tired as hell of all these "moral victories" related to our mascots and grass.

It is about time the students and alumni of this University set our sights on more than spreading the knowledge of Aggie traditions around the country.

Are opposing team's fans given a lesson telling them what they can/cannot do when entering Kyle Field?

This "problem" needs to be dealt with... Its an embarrasment and the mindset that somehow this behavior is right makes it all even worse.

I dont expect fans to know it is a memorial. But when the yell leaders and OD's are confronting them and asking them to get off, any thing other than turning around is asking for it. Once again, he got what he deserved.

2. Who in the hell told you it was your job as a student and a Corp member to protect the field from this phantom menace.

Whoop04 - I think the policemen that actually got them off of the field were all Non-Regs who had things well under control. While I understand why he did it, he still made A&M look bad.

You even posted all of the stuff the new commandant wanted to do with the Corps, and then the Corps goes out and gives him an excuse to do a lot of these things. Great job.
