Driving north on I-35 just south of fort worth i was hit in the driver side windshield by a back break drum. here are the pictures.













That is where the drum landed after hitting and bending my steering wheel. I feel very lucky to be here right now. A few inches higher and it hits me in the head.

Similar thing happened on an internship outside of Uvalde. Heading to town to grad some lunch with the other ranch workers and a truck going the opposite direction threw a rock or something- left a baseball sized whole in my windsheild almost exactly the same spot too. Luckily the object didn't enter the cab, and I'm sure it was small than a dadgum brake drum!

I honestly dont remember if it came off a car or if it was in the road and the car in front of me hit it. It was pretty fast.

Oh my God!!

I had a big hunk of metal come through the windshield on the passenger side about 10 or 12 years ago in Houston. It would have killed the passenger had there been one. But a GD brake drum?!?!?!? Good lord.

That steering wheel pic is stomach turning at the thought of what might have been.
I bet you could get a media outlet of some sort to run with your story and pics.
