I figure with the possibility of a changing of the guard up in DC I should act while I can. I am planning on going with a CCMG bargain bin gun since this will be my first.
I am wondering what is the proceedure i should go through in order to streamline the process and what type i sould look into. Thanks for the help.

I just ordered one of the CCMG bargain bins about a week and a half ago. The gun came in last Friday and I am very pleased with the purchase. I got a DPMS lower and the gun looks brand new. My Larue BUIS is supposed to come in today so hopefully I will be able to go out and shoot some rounds later today

The biggest hurdle is getting the FFL shipping handled. Find one in you area that charges a resonable fee($10-25) and have them fax a copy of their FFL to CMMG. Go to the CMMG site and order the gun. CMMG will then ship them the gun. Go fill out your 4473 and pick it up.

Also, if you get a CMMG gun, you will need either a rear iron site or an optic and a mount.

I also purchased a CMMG bargain bin. Awesome gun.

They are still playing catch-up from all the bad weather so the two best things you can do are:

1) Find an FFL and have him e-mail/fax it to CMMG
2) Make sure you put FFL's address as it appears on his FFL license so they can quickly match it up.

If you dont have a FFL go to gunbroker.com and can search for one there as well as find prices.

Thanks for the help guys. Also since i am new and i hear about lowers and uppers what are they? And will the guns from the bargain bin work out the box after i add a sight? Or will i need to purchase something else as well? Again thanks for the help.

The CMMG rifles will work out of the box, providing you have magazines and ammo.

It appears as though the options for ordering on that website have changed, and there are 3 generic options now.

I am new to the whole AR market, and was wondering if anyone could explain in layman's terms what the differences are, and if they are worth the extra money?
