Howdy Ags!

This post is to try and see if there is any desire to possibly buy Bonfire Remebrance t-shirts online. (maybe on Ebay or something)

There are still shirts available for this years shirts (and some sizes for the 04 dedication shirts and 05 Remebrance Shirts).

Bonfire Coalition for Students (the stu org that coordinates the remebrance activities every year) REALLY wants to clear out the left-over inventory so that they can donate the proceeds to the Bonfire Memorial ASAP.

There is strong willingness by TAMU administrators and many families of the 12 to make a Bonfire Memorial Visitor Center a reality. Right now, it seems like funds are the limiting factor. This would be only the first step to raise the needed funds.

I know that many of you who post on here work with SB..if BCS being the ones selling them might bother ya..please know that not a penny of your money would go to BCS..ALL PROCEEDS are going to be donated to the Bonfire Memorial Fund. =0)

I tried to find them on campus on Thursday but couldn't. Is there a way to get one somewhere around town/ meet up with you? I want one from this year.

Are you going to be in town Wed morning? (I will likely have to get it from the dude in charge on Tuesday).

Email me at linda05@tamu.edu if that'll work (or what would be better) and we can arrange something. =0)

Thanks & Gig'em!

I'd be interested in purchasing one or two...I'm not anywhere near College Station, though. How would we go about purchasing and shipping them?

Please don't get me wrong when I mention this - I support any rememberence activities.

But, anyone else find it odd at all that we are raising money and building things, etc...and yet there's a lawsuit? One side of the equation is not equalling the other, in my head.

And, as it's been stated before, SB and BCS are two organizations that represent the same end goal, just different ways to get there.

When I was active in BC (not BCS) a few years ago, we thought of a Bonfire museum/visitors center as a throw-in-the-towel event, a recognition that it would probably be built on the last remaining part of the Polo Fields that could be suitable for a scaled-down Bonfire. As such, it would signal the demise of hopes to bring Bonfire back to campus.

Has the thinking about the museum changed?

It's my understanding that it would be at the memorial entrance and the restrooms that are already there would be part of the building.

Thank you for the clarification. In this context, a visitor's center is something that just about everyone could support.

First I am SO sorry it has taken me to finally reply on this post...

There has finally been a website set up to sell the shirts and to help making shipping to places outside of College Station a bit easier..(and delivery to folks here a TON faster..)

Please visit http://SupportBonfireMemorial.com

As a friendly reminder ALL proceeds will go to the Bonfire Memorial ( and proposed Visitor Center)

Anyone who had previously emailed me
(RedAg07 and tgray99) I have your shirts already...

please call me 979-695-0352 or email linda05@tamu.edu so that we can arrange pick-up/ shippment)

Thanks and Gig'em!
