WTH? Saw it for the first time on Friday for $5.99 a 12-pack. Made by Cold Spring Brewing.

I have not tried Blue Diamond. I was hoping someone could shed some light, although my expectation is at zero.

I've never even heard of it...

But it's only 6 bucks.. for a 12 pack. i mean... it's not a huge loss... but if it turns out to be tasty... a big gain.

I'd like to try more, but I need a list of what they have, not the ever changing positions in shelves.

I'm not a big fan of the IPA beers.

not a fan of IPA's either, but the Black Butte is very good, one of the best I have ever had.

The Chimay is very good too but one of the most expensive I have seen.

Yeah...Chimay White is one of the only beers at Fox on $2 pint night that isn't $2...I think they charge $3 for it.

i'm a HUGE fan of the belhaven and st. andrews ales.

Just to clarify, Black Butte is a porter, not an IPA. We served that at my wedding.
The classic Fuller's London Porter is still the best porter IMO, but one of my favorite beers of all time is the Rogue Mocha Porter. I also recommend the Anchor Porter.

IPA lovers, make sure you check out AleSmith IPA (if you can find it) and Stone IPA, both from the San Diego area. For imperial IPA (also called double IPA), I recommend Dogfish Head 90-minute, Speakeasy Double Daddy, and AleSmith Yulesmith.

My favorite Belhaven is the Wee Heavy. If you haven't tried it, do your best to find it. The Scottish Ale and St. Andrews are also very good. If you like the Scottish-style ale, McEwans is a nice alternative to Belhaven.

I was referring to the beers that Franklin had posted, two IPA's and one Porter. I dont like the IPA's but I do like the Porter.

If you don't like IPA, you simply have poor taste.

Some people just don't like a lot of hop flavor, but if you liked the Dogfish Head, it may just be that that is the only good IPA you've had. There are a lot of bad IPAs out there, and it's more noticeable in an IPA when the ingredients aren't the best. The hop flavor is a delicate balance and the hops must be of very good quality in an IPA to prevent unwanted flavors and aftertaste.

I love a good IPA, but there are very few that I like to drink.

There are a lot of bad IPAs out there. i guess I'm spoiled living in the beer capital of the world where I have easy access to:

Widmer Broken Halo IPA
Terminal Gravity IPA
Pelican IPA
Deschutes Inversion IPA
Lagunitas IPA
Laurelwood IPA
and others

I'm exceptionally picky about IPA. Even from FCA's list of highly regarded beers, I don't like the Widmer or Lagunitas IPAs. The Terminal Gravity, Pelican, and Deschutes are good, and I've never had the Laurelwood.
