2019 Cy-Ranch RHP Matt Thompson

Along with being the #2 ranked player nationally for his class, Matt was the ace for Cy-Ranch this past year as a freshman. The kid has some of the most electric stuff I have seen from a high school pitcher. Threw low 90's as a freshman. Great get for the Ags but already a major draft risk. This is also the same high school RHP Corbin Martin went to just 3 years ago.

I was under the understanding that he had committed several weeks back. But I guess he just announced it today.

Obviously he has a good chance to be a very high draft pick, as in first round out of high school, but certainly thrilled to have him committed.
