Micah was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in 2010 and was recruited and signed to TCU baseball in 2014. He has been very close with the team and hung out in the dugout when he was well enough. Super sweet kid who also did a lot of stuff to raise awareness for cancer.



Things looked up for a while, but they have not been good lately. His mom just posted an update and my little frog heart is completely broken.

At this time we will not be accepting any visitors. Micah still has some energy and we will be enjoying some time away while he is able. We appreciate your texts and emails but please realize we will not be responding to them individually, allowing us to maximize our time with Micah.

Praying for comfort and peace for this little guy in this time. We are confused and sad by his prognosis but inspired by Micah's attitude.

There is just nothing worse than watching your child suffer and not be able to fix it. God be with him and his family.

Our thoughts & prayers are with Micah and his family.

Being married to a horned frog and attending numerous games we've known Micah's story and actually saw him throw out the first pitch at the last home game. What a brave young man and what a fighter. Stay strong Micah.

That's incredibly hard. My wife's boss's son (boss is a Sea Aggie with marine bio degree) was diagnosed with Neuroblastoma about two years ago when he was 5. He underwent a lot of chemo to get rid of the cancer and some stem cell treatments just to improve his chances. He's still getting some kind of treatments, but I think he's almost completely done. It's taken a toll on their family, but they've been happy just to have him and it looks like he's going to be ok.

With my own on the way, I couldn't imagine losing a child, especially like that.

I'm so sorry to hear this.....I remember hearing the kid's story last year and hoped that a new year would find him better. Prayers out to him and his family. It's beyond tragic.
