Dodgers @ Padres... 17 inning game. Ross came in for 3 innings of relief and got a much needed win.
Even executed a nice sacrifice bunt to advance what would be the go ahead run.

With only 3 innings tonight, hope to see him go for win #3 in the next series vs. Reds.

Ross was sent down to AAA Oklahoma City today. The big club is making it sound like it was part of the plan, to limit his innings mid year so he's still be fresh late in the season. They say he's only going 3-4 innings per start in OKC.

"To hear the Dodgers tell it, a 17 inning game Sunday provided a convenient vehicle to limit
the innings of pitcher Ross Stripling.

Stripling was optioned to Triple A Oklahoma City where he will pitch in shorter bursts."

Good Luck Ross. Come back to the Dodgers quickly. Gig Em

I think Stripling will make a return to the line up toward the latter half of the season. Hopefully, we will see him pitching in October. :-) If not a starter, the Dodgers need help in the pen.

Should be interesting tonight,.. the Dodgers called up their most promising prospect since Kershaw (Julio Urias). The 19 year old lefty has been virtually un-hittable in AAA (1.10 ERA in 7 starts). He will get a good test on the road in NY.

Julio Urias will be fun to watch. Hope he can keep that ERA going strong in the Bigs.
