I was out there Tuesday. Tyler Ivey is the real deal. He had a perfect game through his scheduled three innings and they let him go an extra frame. Banks homered in that 4th inning, but the kid struck out 7 in four innings and had control of his three pitches throughout his appearance.

I talked with my son about Tyler's pitching. He was throwing well but he said the hitters couldn't pick up the ball because the mound and the plate were in shadows while the space in between was in bright sunlight. The end of the game changed that and Melton hit his two run bomb after the lighting changed. Not taking anything away from Tyler, however.

That was his second good outing that I've seen. The shadows may have been a factor, but the kid is throwing three pitches for strikes and hitting his spots. He's making good pitches.
I know very little about Pennington, other than he seems to be swinging the bat very well.
Question : can he play center field?

Yes, Banks has been one of the CF's the last 2 weeks after returning from minor surgery. Also has DH'd earlier.

Will Banks and Boomer Hit back to back in the lineup ? Who is our most discipline hitter and the toughest out on the team.. ? Last year we had too many guys who could not put the ball in play
Looks like RC's typical lineup has Birk, White, Banks in the 2,3 and 4 hole. Melton and Cole Bedford have had a good fall at the plate.

Childress said that Hendrix and Ecker would most likely be given 6 outs and then a day of rest in between.
He also mentioned Kolek as a comer on the mound .. low to mid 90's. I think he also mentioned sophomore transfer Jace Vines.

the Ags were at their best last year with the "strong bullpen" approach. I would keep Hendrix in the pen as an aforementioned 2-inning closer guy
