Did Coach Childress give any kind of assessment of what he thinks about this year's team based on limited observation so far?
No..

Here's mine. I just did this pretty quickly with not a whole lot of thought put into it. Obviously a lot can change through fall ball and the beginning of the spring as well.

Still no Banks in the lineup today either. Also no Turner Larkins innings this week, I've heard he may be hurt. Hopefully not too bad and just needs rest.
No Melton on the mound this week but it looks like Bedford is scheduled for 1 inning today.

Also hear that Austin Homan the transfer from San Jac has been making great plays at 2nd base. Melton hit a big 2 run homerun today but I believe his team still lost. Larkins has unknown injury, Hill has sprained ankle but I believe still pitched 2 innings today. Banks supposed to be back next week after minor cosmetic surgery.

I was at the Thursday scrimmage that ended 4-4. Gideon had a homer off the scoreboard and Moroney had a bomb to LF. Boomer White struck out three times and is really struggling.
Gideon followed Friday with a home run over the scoreboard off of Corbin Martin

Has anyone spotted Banks in the dug out or on the practice field?
Until this past summer, I'll take those numbers. I think people were excited because he hit about .600 with a bunch of extra base hits last fall. Banks is with the team, just not participating yet.
Do we know what is wrong, if anything, with Banks, is he injured?

Larkins is having back issues again. Banks was supposed to be back today?
Don't like hearing that, I like Larkins, reminds me of Hendrix as a freshman, think he'll be good next year.

Looks like Boomer is catching today for the Plowboys. Homan moved to SS for the Farmers after making some great plays at 2nd last week.
