I agree. I would be fine with either Kent or Stubbs in Game 2 but tend to lean toward Kent. Regardless, this starting trio along with Vinson, Hendrix and Simonds in the bullpen and Ecker to close makes us very dangerous on the mound.

Long and Kent are definitely starting two of the games. After that do you think Stubby can give you another performance like he did this weekend, despite his probable pitch limit and unproven consistency? Or do you take Vinson out of the bullpen and let him start? Heck, I think a pretty good case could be made for starting Hendrix as well.

This weekend was huge for our pitching staff and their confidence level. Not only did literally everyone that threw perform well (including several guys that were struggling recently), we got to add another arm in Stubby.

The great thing about the rest of the schedule: no Tuesday game.

That's another 27 outs, 100+ pitches, and 2-3 arms we don't have to worry about.

It's "all hands on deck" baseball.

With the larger field in mind, do we stick with Banks in CF and Moroney in RF? In his two starts Moroney did more at the plate than Choruby or Moss, but he didn't light it up either. That's also our least talented defensive outfield. Do we go back to more defensive range or stick with what we won the last two with?

that is a tough call on the outfielders for the SR. Centerfield is cavernous at Lupton.

but Moroney was in the middle of 2 of the Ags scoring rallies tonight and 1 of them last night. I think he reached based 3 times in the 2 games

They only have 79 doubles and 11 triples (103 and 12 for the Ags). As big as their field is I'm even less impressed than I was when I saw their BA and HR numbers.

But they're a national seed so.......

Probably some TCU fan's ground crew

I would think Moss or Chourby's range would be a blessing in that field but who knows.

Kent needs to start game 1 so he can be ready to contribute game 3 just like cal. Long game 2. Looks like Kent is our new #1. We will see.
