So is there bad blood between Childress and Deggs? Could make for an interesting visit at home plate before the game.

I was bummed when Gideon got tossed. He had just worked his way back into the lineup! I think the call was a bad one, but with no reply, it was close and I could see how it would have appeared either way, especially when the infield umpire wasn't in the correct position to see the catch and the base timing with the runner diving back.

We should be smoking the ball tonight with this power mash lineup, assuming they don't have a Wacha-esque ace materialize on a Tuesday night.

perhaps hard to believe...but it's been 5 years since Deggs last coached for the Ags (2010).

looking at Sam's season stats...a couple of Deggs' trademarks pop out:

49 stolen base attempts and 29 HBP in 30 games.

the bearkats have only grounded into 7 double plays. A very low number. When a runner is on 1st base w/less than 2 outs...he's stealing.

however Sam's fielding % is a woeful .954 -- if the Ags put the ball in play, the bearkats are going to kick it around
