Random thoughts...

"MIZZOU" is neither the name of the school or the mascot. It's a chant. I thought that wasn't allowed for front of jerseys. It's literally no different than us having "Gig 'em" on the front of ours.

Better analogy... It's Miami having "the U" on theirs, which also wouldn't be ok

It's definitely a rule for football. Vandy got in trouble for having "Anchor Down" on their jerseys this fall.

It's effectively the name of the school, people reference the school as "Mizzou" everywhere.

I don't know how the NCAA formally views it, but it's much closer to "Ole Miss" than it is "Gig 'Em" or "Anchor Down".

Miami baseball does have jerseys with a "U" on the front, although I assume it's allowed as their logo.

The rule is that you can only have player name or school/mascot name on the back. "Anchor Down" jerseys had that above the number on the back
