wow, still minimal love for Missouri, DBU, Nebraska, or Oklahoma State.

starting with D1...Rice w/9 losses at #14 is way too high. Should barely be in the top 25. The Owls have only had 3 (of 6) winning weekends. Southern Cal is not a top 10 team. 4 losses to unranked teams in the past 2 weeks.

and then Perfect Game...both TCU and UF have to fall further than that. The Frogs played poorly at home. Tech has no business being ranked period. The Red Raiders are only 4-8 vs. the top 100 with 2 series losses to unranked teams. Likewise South Carolina has lost 2 series to unranked teams. Should be between #15 & #20

tech isn't ranked in D1 Baseball and they were not going to drop Rice out of there Top 10 to completely out of their poll.

After the Aggies lost the second game Saturday, I felt it unlikely we would jump over LSU or Vandy.

Mizzou has played a rather weak schedule and got swept by Milwaukee at home. Avoid that sweep or complete the sweep against South Carolina they would have moved up. Hope the Aggies put any hopes they'll move into the polls on hold for a few weeks.

D1 doesn't have Mizzou ranked so my statement is still correct

It's all a crap shoot at this point. I would put the first place SEC team who just took a series from a top 10 power at least at #25 regardless of the Milwaukee series. Plenty of other teams with bad losses and weak schedules still ranked in top 15.

But they did not sweep South Carolina. I would have had Mizzou in my Top 25 but because D1 Baseball did not find a spot for them make it a crap poll.

Fair enough. Hoping Mizzou was playing over their head a tad (and USCe going in thinking they had an off SEC series going in) this past weekend and the team that got swept by Milwaukee is more indicative of their actual team, Anyways it should be a wake up call to the Aggies that they should not take Mizzou lightly.

Check this site as they add all the polls later today. I'm not sure why you guys put all your stock in human polls and none in the computer polls? The computer polls have been as accurate if not more so then the human polls, like correctly predicting how overrated Virginia was.

Computer polls have DBU at #2

Polls are worthless. RPI matters a hell of a lot more than any poll. It's not the only factor the committee looks at, but it's an important one, unlike the polls which are completely ignored.

No matter what polls you look at, if any, only two things are for certain. First, this weekend is a huge test. Second, LSU weekend may be the biggest series of the year between any two teams.

Last week Jeff Sagarin had A&M at #1 and DBU at #2.

This week they've switched; DBU at #1 and A&M at #2.

Even though South Carolina lost two to Missouri, I'd argue that series in May at Blue Bell Park is going to be plenty big.

In fact it's the tail end of a brutal series of weekends, thankfully most of which are at home.

April 10-12 vs. Mississippi State
April 17-19 vs. Arkansas
April 23-25 at LSU
May 1-3 at Tennessee
May 8-10 vs. South Carolina

In fact throw the May 14-16 series at Ole Miss in there too, right before the SEC Tournament starts up. Maybe that says more about how tough the SEC is in general. At least we don't have Vandy and Florida this year.
