Haha surfing!

Doing great everyone! Rehabbing in Frisco and living in Dallas. I'm about 3 and a half months out from surgery and everything has come along great with my rehab. Head back to Arizona next week to continue rehabbing and begin throwing in the middle of August.

Crazy to see Sawyers left! Happy for him, I think that's where he was always more comfortable. Anxious to see who we hire!

Thanks to everyone for always asking about me and the get well wishes!

Eephus pitch Strip... learn the eephus pitch. I remember seeing Pascual Perez throwing it in Montreal. I don't think I've ever seen a guy more out in front of a pitch than Glenn Davis on that first eephus pitch.

Note: The second eephus pitch to Davis wound up being what had to be one of the longest homeruns ever hit at Olympic Stadium, so don't overuse it.

"An Eephus pitch (also spelled Ephus) in baseball is a very low speed junk pitch.[1] The delivery from the pitcher has very low velocity and usually catches the hitter off-guard. Its invention is attributed to Rip Sewell of the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 1940s. According to manager Frankie Frisch, the pitch was named by outfielder Maurice Van Robays. When asked what it meant, Van Robays replied, "'Eephus ain't nothing, and that's a nothing pitch."

"Even though I started playing baseball when I was six years old, I didn't start pitching until senior year in high school. To be honest, I was more of a football and basketball guy until I broke my leg my last year," said Stripling, a junior from Southlake, Texas. "My doctor told me I couldn't run for four to six months, which went into baseball season. When I started rehab, I would get bored at [baseball] practice and starting messing around on the mound. It was then that I started pitching, big cast on my leg and all."

Interesting beginning to his baseball pitching careerl
