All-Time Victoria Generals Short Stop
03/11/2014 1:08 PM

You voted, we listened…Kenny Jackson is your all time Victoria Generals Short Stop. As a junior at Texas A&M, Jackson joined the Generals in 2009. He would go onto to play two seasons for the Generals, including an All-Star appearance in his first season. Jackson excelled defensively as a Short Stop, and offensively with clutch at bats. He ended his career with the Generals with a Batting Average of .255, 47 hits and 28 RBI’s. The fan favorite Jackson, would finish his time at A&Mbefore being drafted by the Florida Marlins. These days you will find the TCL Champ in Corpus, as he is a grad assistant coach for the Islanders.

Bryan-College Station, TX (May 23, 2014) – A pair of power-hitting Texas A&M infielders will join the Brazos Valley Bombers for the 2014 season and play summer ball just a few minutes down the road from their home at Olsen Field at Blue Bell Park

Hailing from Sugarland, Texas, G.R. Hinsley started five games in his inaugural season with the Aggies after spending two years at Paris Junior College where he was a two time second team All-Conference player. Hinsley was a key member of the Bombers’ 2013 national championship team last summer, setting Bombers records for both RBI’s and total bases with 55 and 139 respectively. Hinsley was also elected to the 2013 All-Texas Collegiate League first team.

Logan Nottebrok is also coming off of his first season at Texas A&M, where he batted .263 and led the team with eight homeruns and a .525 slugging percentage. The 6-foot-3, 225 pound San Antonio native spent time at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Temple College before joining the Aggies, and his powerful presence at the plate will be a welcome addition to Bombers’ lineup.

The duo of Aggie sluggers will be instrumental in the Bombers’ efforts to repeat as TCL Champions.

The Bombers start their season on the road against the Acadiana Cane Cutters on May 29. Opening day is June 3 versus the Acadiana Cane Cutters.
