quote:There's still alot going on right now before that decision has to be made. The school is making alot of bigtime self-imposed decisions that are just short of parting ways with Pitino. I don't believe he will be coaching there next year. If he does survive, he will be facing some big NCAA sanctions most likely.
Have you heard anything Mike? Is pitino going to survive it?
quote:
"It still bothers me, I'm not going to lie to you," Pitino said. "It bothers me when a trust is broken, and I still have sleepless nights thinking [why] you did something like this. ...
quote:He did say that and he is correct. Head Coaches of Division 1 basketball programs definitely know what's going on with their team on campus.
I believe that John Calipari came out a few days ago and said point blank to the media that he thought most coaches would know if something like that (at Louisville) was happening on campus. Of course Calipari has a vested interested in helping the Louisville basketball program burn but I happen to think he's right.

It also appears that the NCAA is shockingly not buying "U"L's argument that the infractions are not severe because the cost for the women was less than $100.Quote:
"If Pitino saw no red flags in connection with McGee's interactions with then prospective and current student athletes, it was because he was not looking for them," according to the report.
Quote:
"Put simply," the NCAA said, "arranging and funding sexual intercourse for a prospective student athlete on an official visit is a severe violation, wholly inconsistent with NCAA principles, whether valued at $80 or $120."
