So far we know that ASpace is going to UMass yet there is not a lot of information in regards to DFitz. Richmond's basketball blog states that Fitz might be taking one of the spots resulting from transfers (see link below).

He fits the mold of every other .500 coach that caught some tournament luck and parlayed it into a 10 year contract. Other than one S16, which appears to be an outlier in his career, he really hasn't done much of anything

He played in the Princeton system. He's been at Richmond for a long time after being one of the youngest d1 coaches when he was hired at Richmond.

First that I have heard of this too. Either about UCONN having interest or there being restrictions on him going there. where was this info mentioned?

I'd be very surprised a place like Uconn would offer a guy like Fitz anything other than a preferred walk-on spot at this point. A mid-major school makes a lot more sense.

Congratulations to DFitz. Hope he learns a lot from Pitino jr and gets enough playing time to justify the change in scenery. Clearly hasn't given up on making it to the NBA which means it's the first in many years of hard work for him. Sorry he got hurt with us. Just hate for that to happen to any athlete. If he did his physical therapy and continues to strengthen the knee, he should have a very good year this year.

Davonte is a fine young man and is going to be a really great addition for them. Its a shame that we couldn't do more with him.
