Still logged in to my account with single star now seeing advertisements on the bottom of the page on the mobile site. Just noticed it this morning.

All I see is the giant one at the bottom which is annoying.

Yes, we did add ads to the bottom of mobile pages in non-premium areas. With mobile traffic now surpassing desktop traffic, this was necessary to simply maintain our ad-impression count. We purposed to put them in a place where they would be the least distracting to your viewing experience. As in the desktop version, a subscription level of basic or higher will continue to reduce the number of ads shown; however, this particular ad is shown across all users.

I don't mind the ads at the bottom. Very unobtrusive which I think was their goal. Good job. Texags after all is a business. Heck. I'm gonna click on a link every now and then.

Why not make it a banner ad on the bottom like they have in top?

I don't care about recruiting, so premium does nothing for me, but I wouldn't mind another dollar or two to not have to deal with the ads.

On the flip side does anyone really click ads or consider the content? I can say that my eyes filter out ads on webpages, and these are a very ineffective way to market goods and services to me.

In fact, web based ads just piss me off so I'm likely to have a negative view of any such good or service which intrudes upon internet browsing.

I can't think of one service I've seen advertised here that has swayed me.

Oh well, i guess at the end of the day all that matters from a usability perspective is that this site is better than Baylorfans.

Outdoors forum, Cameron Dodge Ram ad is scrolling my (mobile) screen to the bottom automatically. Has happened several times.

Another on the outdoor forum auto-scrolled. Pump Septic System.

Trivago ads keep grabbing focus (scrolling me to the bottom). This appears on the list of forums.

And it just did it again, to mock me.

Same. It has a text input that takes focus.
