I'm going to a conference on the river walk this year during my anniversary. Works out great, in laws watching twins for three nights. First time away since they've been born. Rib coming with. Work paying for all. In need of great restaurant on the River Walk? Any type of food.

Luke. Order everything. Get dessert. Repeat. Best spot in downtown. Near enough to the river, but well away from all the river folk and river walk tourist crap.

Gwendolyn is interesting & worth it. Menu changes daily, fixed menu. Local ingredients. Meal will last awhile as multi-course.

Boudro's is excellent if you want to stay on the riverwalk.

If you don't mind driving less than 3 minutes to Southtown, then go to Bliss. It's amazing food.
