I'll be flying into the ATL on Thursday, Sept. 15 for the Auburn game weekend. That Thursday, I'd like to get a round in. Anywhere in the ATL or between the ATL and Auburn. Recommendations appreciated!

Friday, Sept. 16, we'll probably drive within Alabama and play a couple of courses along the RTJ trail.

RTJ Grand National is fantastic, but sounds like too close to AU for what you're looking for.

Totally agree on Grand National. The Links Course is badass (it isn't a links course, which was confusing). Lakes is great as well. I say the Lakes is prettier but the Links is better golf.

I'm going to try to get out there myself that weekend.

This course is west of Atlanta on I-20 on your way to Alabama.

If you are a member of Club Corp there are a few courses to play around Peachtree City (south Atl) which would be convenient for your trip to Auburn as well.

Would be interested in a round at Grand National Friday afternoon or early (earliest) Saturday morning if anyone else is eyeing these times.

I am not sure if you have used Idealgolfer in the DFW area, but they have the same thing in Atlanata. Below is a link to this weeks course. Price looks decent, but I have never played it before.

Not really on the way but Reynolds Plantation is really nice. Played it on the way to Augusta one year.
