I'm about to pull the trigger on a Young Executive membership in Houston and was wondering if there was anything that you can negotiate at the time of joining.

Particularly free range balls (currently $10/visit or $325/year....which is really high to me), or negotiate a certain amount of free guest rounds per year (cart fee only).

I know most clubs are eager to get young members in.

Mine is a $9 per month mandatory. I don't know why they don't just tack that on to the membership.

A lot of clubs charge for range fees.

I've never heard of it. But there's a lot I haven't heard of.

When I asked about stuff (club storage, locker) the guy at a local club said they'd throw in free first year. So, at least negotiable and some clubs.
