add vaaler creek and sonterra to this list - great courses (Sonterra is private and has a north and south course)

Cordillera is also private and very nice.

Love Vaaler Creek! About 45 minutes north of SA in Blanco. Wasn't sure if OP was looking at that far of a radius.

I second the Quarry, very open and fun course. If you're into Bloody Mary's like I'am, they have an awesome house mix that rivals Zing Zang

For TPC I'm honestly of a fan of the Canyons course.

Vaaler is a great track in Blanco. My favorite public course in the area!

Anyone play TPC? If so, which course did you like better?
I'm a much bigger fan of the Oaks course. Much more challenging and difficult.

I've played Cedar Creek a handful of times and if you can get past the not-so-pristine conditions, it really is a fun course. Not going to say it's better than those in the "upper tier" mentioned, but don't overlook it if you're on a budget and want a quality course.

I'm just south of Bulverde so thinking about trying this one out soon! Is the course a traditional Hill country style? Or more of a flat setup?
