The golf team played their last three holes today in 10 over par. Ben Crancer's score will not count but he accounted for +4 with doubles on hole 7 & 8. The Seniors (including Ben) were 7 over in the last three holes. The team was near the top of the leaderboard at the time. They finished the first round tied for 8th place out of 14 teams.

Not time to panic as there is 36 holes to go. We are only 4 shots back of a qualifying spot for Eugene.

Freshman Chandler Phillips is currently 1 under after the first round, which is tied for 5th in the tournament.

That three hole stretch (holes 7-9) scorched us again today. Team lost nine stroke to par on that stretch. Good news that everyone is struggling on this course. The 2nd Round is not complete yet, but the Aggie's are currently tied for 4th place. They could move up some more as the course is playing very tough.

Looks like we are guaranteed 5th place now, the only thing that can happen is that South Florida could collapse and get us 4th. Top 5 teams advance.

I believe it's a three round tournament.

Much better 2nd round than the women's team had 11 days ago. Only 2 teams played better today. Do it again tomorrow and make plans to go to Eugene.

Meanwhile Texas is at -37 with a 17 shot lead at their regional in Nashville, holy smokes.

Through 12 holes completed 11 teams have better scores today. In 7th place 3 shots behind 5th place.

One stroke from T6. Two from T5. Come on boys!!

by looking at the scores the first couple of days we have the easier holes left (16, 17, 18) than the teams we are chasing (7, 8, 9). I believe we can pull this out with pars.

Playoff

Finished in a tie for 5th. Thank goodness for our freshmen. They are the 2 low scores for the day and one of them birdied 18 to get us in a playoff with SDSU

It says ties will be resolved, which I think means they will play off.

Still a possibility that USF drops 5 more shots to tie us and SDSt. All of their golfers are still on the course
