Hey everybody I need some advice. I'll be able to sneak in either one of the practice days or the first day of championship play of the British Open. Is it better to go to a practice day if I am only there for one day or championship play? I've heard the practice rounds can be a little bit more relaxed and fun. TIA

If the open were at St. Andrews or maybe Carnoustie, I would probably lean towards going on a practice day, where I could take all the pictures and truly take in and enjoy the golf course. Royal Troon doesn't do it for me, so I would probably go for championship day and take in and enjoy the golf (instead of the golf course). Hope that makes sense, IMHO.

I'm a fan of practice rounds, as they are good to see the pros work on their strategy. Championship rounds are always tense and very business like. Either way, enjoy the round.
